Welcome to ReelRise ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application ("ReelRise"). By using ReelRise, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Media Access: ReelRise requests access to your iPhone's photo and video gallery to allow you to import videos into the app. We only access the videos you choose to import and do not store or use any other media from your device.

Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: We may use third-party solutions to collect information about your device, such as your IP address, operating system, and device type. This information is used to ensure the App functions properly on your device.

Usage Data: We may use third-party solutions to collect data about your usage of ReelRise, including analytics data, to help us understand how the app is being used and to improve it.

This automatically collected device and usage data is analytical only and is not used to identify you personally. Information from a social media account you choose to connect is different, and is described in "Connected Social Media Accounts" below.

The third-party solutions we may use include the following systems of collecting and processing analytical data:

• Facebook SDK, a software of Facebook company that collects and processes data following the data use policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
• Firebase, a software of Google which collects and processes data per the data use policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Appsflyer, a mobile attribution and marketing analytics platform that collects and processes data in accordance with its data use policy: https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/
• Amplitude, a product analytics platform that collects and processes data in accordance with its data use policy: https://amplitude.com/privacy
• Google Analytics, a web analytics service used on our website (reelrise.app) to understand how visitors use the site. It collects and processes data in accordance with Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Cookies

Our website (reelrise.app) uses cookies and similar technologies. We use two kinds:

• Strictly necessary cookies that are required for the site to function, such as session and security (CSRF) cookies. These do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used so we can improve it. These are not strictly necessary.

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, analytics cookies are disabled by default and are only set after you accept them via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can decline, and analytics cookies will not be set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for reelrise.app, which will prompt the banner again. Outside these regions, analytics cookies may be enabled by default, and you can opt out by clearing site data or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though the site may not function correctly without strictly necessary cookies.

Connected Social Media Accounts

ReelRise lets you connect your Instagram and TikTok accounts. Connecting is entirely optional, and you can disconnect at any time. We access a connected account only through that platform's official API, only after you have authorized us, and only to provide the features described below.

What we access

• Profile information: your username, display name, profile picture, biography, and follower and following counts.
• Your own posts: your videos, Reels and posts, along with their captions, thumbnails and links.
• Statistics about your own posts: views, likes, comments, shares, saves and reach, as reported by the platform.

We only access the account you connect. We do not access your private messages, and we do not collect personal information about your followers or about other users.

How we use it

• To produce your account audit and content recommendations — for example, which posting times, caption styles and formats perform best for you.
• To personalize the AI assistant's advice using your own content and results.
• To publish a video to your account, and only when you explicitly ask us to. If you tap to publish, we upload that video to the connected account on your behalf. We never post anything without a direct action from you.

We do not sell this information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with other users.

Disconnecting and deleting

You can disconnect an account at any time inside ReelRise, or remove ReelRise's access from the platform itself (Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites; TikTok: Settings → Security and Login → Manage app permissions). When access is removed we stop retrieving data from the account and delete the stored access tokens.

If you request deletion of your data through Instagram, we delete the Instagram profile information, posts and statistics we stored for you. You can also delete your data at any time by following the instructions at reelrise.app/delete-account, or by emailing support@reelrise.app.

AI Processing

ReelRise uses artificial intelligence to analyze your content and generate feedback, edits and recommendations. To do this, the videos, images, captions and account statistics relevant to the feature you are using are sent to third-party AI providers, processed, and returned to us as analysis. These providers act on our behalf to deliver the feature.

The AI providers we use include:

• Google (Gemini), which processes data in accordance with its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Anthropic (Claude), which processes data in accordance with its privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy
• OpenAI, which processes data in accordance with its privacy policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/
• Alibaba Cloud (Qwen), which processes data in accordance with its privacy policy: https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/en/legal/latest/alibaba-cloud-international-website-privacy-policy

We access Anthropic and OpenAI models through Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock), which processes data in accordance with its privacy notice: https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/. If one provider is temporarily unavailable, the same data may be processed by another provider on this list so the feature keeps working.

Improving Our AI (Optional)

With your permission, we use your ReelRise account data to improve our AI, so that the tips, feedback and scores we give you become more accurate. This is optional and off unless you say yes. The app asks you once, after you upload a video or photo, and you can change your answer at any time in the app under Account → Profile → “Help train our AI”. Saying no, or not answering, does not change what you can do in ReelRise.

What we use

The videos and photos you upload (including their sound and on-screen text), your chats with the assistant, the analyses, plans and feedback we created for you and how you rated them, the answers in your creator profile, and statistics from social media accounts you connected. This covers data already in your account when you say yes, and data you add later.

How we use it

• To test, compare and improve the instructions and settings our AI uses.
• To build sets of examples for training and testing AI models, and to fine-tune models.
• This work is done by ReelRise and by the AI providers listed in “AI Processing”, which process the data on our behalf under our agreements with them.

We remove your name, email address and social media handles from these example sets where we can. We do not sell this data, we do not use it for advertising, and we never show it to other users.

Changing your mind

If you turn it off, we stop adding your data to new example sets and remove it from the sets we keep within 30 days. Turning it off does not undo improvements already made to our AI before that. If you delete your account, your data is removed from these sets as well.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the legal basis for this use is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR) for any sensitive information your content may reveal. You can withdraw it at any time as described above; this does not affect what we did with your permission before you withdrew it.

We keep a record of your answer (yes or no, when you gave it, and the version of the request you saw) so we can show what you agreed to.

Clips for B-rolls and Carousels

• When you ask ReelRise to make a b-roll or a carousel, you choose the videos and photos to use. We only access the items you pick; we never scan your photo library.
• Before anything leaves your phone, the app checks the sound of each video on your device and skips clips where someone is talking most of the time. This check runs only on your phone.
• To pick your best clips, small preview images (a few low-resolution frames of each video, or a smaller copy of each photo) are sent to the AI providers listed in "AI Processing". We do not keep these previews.
• The clips we use are uploaded to our servers to make your b-rolls and carousels, and are processed by the same AI providers.

Creator Website Visitors

ReelRise hosts personal link-in-bio websites for creators at addresses like reelrise.app/@username. If you visit one of these pages, we collect limited technical information (such as a shortened form of your IP address, browser type and referring platform) to measure visits and protect the page from abuse. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

If you use the contact form on a creator's page, the name, contact details and message you enter are stored by ReelRise and delivered to that creator, along with your IP address (kept for rate-limiting and abuse prevention). We do not use your contact details for marketing and we do not share them with anyone other than the creator you chose to contact. Contact inquiries are retained until the creator or ReelRise deletes them; you can request deletion at any time by emailing support@reelrise.app.

Use of Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain ReelRise.
• Analyze your videos and connected accounts to produce feedback, audits and recommendations.
• Publish a video to a connected account when you ask us to.
• Understand and analyze how you use ReelRise.
• To improve ReelRise and the user’s experience.
• Improve our AI with your account data, only if you allow it (see “Improving Our AI”).

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as analytics services (e.g., Firebase, Facebook SDK) and the AI providers described in "AI Processing" above.
• Social Media Platforms: When you ask us to publish a video, we send that video and its caption to the platform you chose (Instagram or TikTok) in order to post it to your account.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid request by a governmental authority. We review every such request for legality, challenge requests we consider unlawful, disclose only the minimum information necessary, and document each request — see our Government & Law Enforcement Data Requests policy.

Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to withdraw any consent you gave us (for example, to “Help train our AI” in Account → Profile). To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.

You can delete your data at any time by following the instructions at reelrise.app/delete-account, or by emailing support@reelrise.app. Deleting your account removes the data we hold about you, including any information retrieved from social media accounts you connected. We may keep some data after your account is deleted where we need it for safety, security or legal reasons.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page. We will not start using data you already gave us for a new purpose, such as improving our AI, without asking you first. You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.
